Acne can be a devastating condition for a teen. It can begin with puberty and last through the early twenties. Some adults have problems with acne outbreaks throughout their lifetime. Acute acne can cause scaring of the face, back and chest or any area affected by the condition. There are many treatments that have been offered for acne treatment, but one of the most effective is the use of an acne light.

Acne lights do not require the use of astringents, creams or lotions. The do not stain or bleach the users clothing or bedding. The light can be used while the person is involved in other activities.

Acne lights emit light at certain wavelengths. These wavelengths are in the red and blue  area of light. Some acne lights only emit the blue light, which helps to kill the  bacteria that cause acne. The red light is stimulates healing of the skin where acne has  already occurred.
